GOLD AND SILVER HAD A VOLATILE WEEK

Borsa Istanbul had a very dynamic week. Gold price reached its highest level at 2011 usd/oz but couldn’t stay at this level and rolled down until 1.866,00 usd/oz. There was a very wide price band as 145 usd/oz. Yellow metal managed to recover and completed the week with 1.937 usd/oz level and limited the loss with just %0,4. Gold transaction volume exceeded 22 MT at Borsa Istanbul.

When we look at silverside, we see that silver also reached its highest level at 28,47 usd/oz. The week was like incentive in the frame of silver price so sellers preferred to see their profits. Silver couldn't close the week from that high level and white metal completed the week with 26,04 usd/oz level. Silver lost %2,7 value at Borsa. Totally 25 MT silver changed hands at Borsa Istanbul, last week. Compared to Borsa Istanbul, the closing was realized at the level of 26.78 usd/oz at spot market.
