On the agenda, there were news as mutated corona and increasing number of cases. US stimulus package and FED meeting also followed by investors. Concerns about the timing of the stimulus package pressured markets. Gold quite fluctuated but managed to fisnish week with gain.
Gold followed mostly a downward trend until the end of the week. Yellow metal recovered at the end of the week and reached its highest level at 1865,20 usd/oz. The closing was also on par with the highest at Borsa Istanbul. Despite the fall during the week, gold succeded to gain 1,19% value. Gold transaction volume was low as 7 MT last week at Borsa. Compared to Borsa Istanbul, the completion of the week was 1847,67 usd/oz level at international markets.
Unlike gold, silver followed an upward course until the weekend. Silver recorded its highest level at 26,48 usd/oz and completed the week with the same level at Borsa Istanbul. Silver gained 3,5% value which was pretty good for silver. Totally 19 MT white metal was traded at Borsa.
