THE YEAR ENDED WITH HIGH PREMIUMS AT BORSA ISTANBUL

Precious metals had a busy week as it was the last week of the year. Transaction volumes were also high at Borsa Istanbul. 

Gold managed to close the year above 1800 usd/oz in Borsa Istanbul. Yellow metal moved  up almost 50 usd/oz and peaked at 1830 usd/oz. Closed the year at 1824 usd/oz. Compared to previous week, gold gained 0,90% value. Totally 5.7 MT gold changed hands at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, gold tried to rise and recorded the level of 1829 usd/oz at international markets. 

Silver spent a week trying to reach the level of 23 usd/oz at Borsa Istanbul. Despite this, white metal completed the week at 22,43 usd/oz level. Investors who wanted to take advantage of this price movement, turned to silver. Silver trading volume reached 20 MT in Borsa Istanbul. In international markets, silver exceeded 23 usd/oz and reached the level of 23,26 usd/oz.

Borsa made an active start to the week. Last week the premiums even exceeded 20 usd/oz. This week, it is seen that the transactions will be carried out with high premiums.
