PRECIOUS METALS COULDN’T ESCAPE THE SALES WAVE

Precious metals started the week with raising concerns on mutating coronavirus. They couldn't escape the sales wave during the week.  

Gold rolled down after the middle of the week and reached its highest level at 1805,40 usd/oz at Borsa Istanbul. However, investors wanted to see their profits. As a result, yellow metal completed the week at 1770 usd/oz level. Compared to last week, gold lost almost 2% value. Transaction volume remained as low as almost 5 MT at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, gold tried to recover and recorded the level of 1783 usd/oz at international markets.

Silver had a harder week than gold. Silver recorded its highest level at 23,30 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. The closing was 22,60 usd/oz level. This means that white metal lost 3,42% of its value. Totally 11 MT silver changed hands at Borsa Istanbul.
