Last week was a positive week for precious metals. Statements by the US Department of Commerce, decline in US bond yields and dollar index dawnfall below 91 supported precious metals. Precious metal trading volume at Borsa Istanbul remained low due to the bans in our country.
Gold had a week rising week towards the end of the week. Yellow metal reached its highest level at 1839,50 usd/oz and completed the week at the same level at Borsa Istanbul. That means yellow metal gained 4% value. Gold had a nice gain after 2 weeks of loss. Totally 2.3 MT gold changed hands at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, gold couldn’t escape to the sales wave and came up to 1831 usd/oz level at international markets.
Silver had a volatile week compared to gold. Silver moved around 26,81 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. White metal recorded its highest level at 27,40 usd/oz level. The closing was the same as the highest level at Borsa Istanbul. Compared to last week silver gained 6,4% value. It was a pretty good gain. Silver transaction volume was 11 MT at Borsa Istanbul.
