GOLD BEGAN TO BE ACTIVE AT BORSA ISTANBUL

On the agenda, there was inflation data in the USA. The speech of the FED president to support the markets also positively affected the precious metals.

Gold had a volatile week at Borsa Istanbul. Gold followed a rising session until midweek. Despite rising gold, it couldn’t escape the sales wave. Yellow metal recorded its highest price as 1850 usd/oz level. The closing was 1816,50 usd/oz level. That means gold gained almost 0,7% value. It was a pretty good gain compared to last week. Totally 8,7 MT gold changed hands at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, gold reached at 1824,62 usd/oz level at international markets.

When we look at the silverside, we see that silver’s move was parallel with gold at Borsa Istanbul. Silver price exceeded 27 usd/oz and reached 27,72 usd/oz level. Silver completed the week at 27 usd/oz level. White metal gained 1% value. Although silver trading volume decreased compared to last week, it was good with 19 MT.

On Monday morning session, Borsa Istanbul is quite active. There are sellers that cost up to 6,25 usd/oz. Also 6 usd/oz premium was realized.
