PRECIOUS METALS INCREASED AT BORSA ISTANBUL

Precious metals followed US producer and consumer price index data last week. With these data, inflation reached its highest level in the USA. The reaction of investors to this was to turn to gold. Despite this, the trading volume remained low at Borsa Istanbul.

Gold rallied after the middle of the week. The gold price has continued to rise since last week, reaching 1857,15 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. However, yellow metal completed the week with 1848 usd/oz level. This means that gold has gained 3,46% of its value. Despite this rise, the buying reaction of investors was limited at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, yellow metal rose as high as 1864,98 usd/oz at international markets.

Silver spent a similar week with gold. White metal recorded its highest level at 24,50 usd/oz level and completed the week with the same level at Borsa Istanbul. Compared to previous week, silver gained 4,14% value. Silver transaction volume was 10 MT at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, silver exceeded 25 usd/oz level at international markets.
