Last week was a week of declines. With the news of vaccines, the precious metals were in a sales wave. Gold was affected by this, and although it recorded its highest level at 1963 usd/oz, it closed with 1885,5 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. There was a very wide price band as 109 usd/oz. Yellow Metal lost 2,6% value after rising last week. Gold transaction volume was very high as 27 MT at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, Gold rose to 1889,49 usd/oz level with little recovery at international markets.
Silver also left behind a week of decline. Silver reached its highest level at 25,78 usd/oz level and could hold on this level at Borsa Istanbul. Despite holding this level, Silver's investors wanted to see their profits, so the closing was at 24.40 usd/oz level. White Metal lost 2,7% value. Silver's demand was high also as more than 14 MT at Borsa Istanbul. There was a similar closing at spot markets.
