PRECIOUS METALS HAD A PROFITABLE WEEK AT BORSA ISTANBUL

Precious metals followed the Fed's meeting last week. Markets affected positively after the chairman said that inflation will be brought under control. The Fed chairman's speech gave support to precious metals. Thus, precious metals finished the week with profit.

Gold reached until 1811,45 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. The gold's rise above 1800 usd/oz made its investors happy. Compared to previous week, yellow metal gained 2,20% value. The transaction volume was also high at Borsa Istanbul. Totally 6,7 MT gold changed hands. After Borsa session closed, gold fell to 1798 as investors wanted to see profits at international markets. Despite this, we can say that it has been a good week for gold.

Silver had a similar week with gold. However, silver's earnings were not as high as gold. The white metal recorded its highest level at 22.50 USD/oz and closed the week at the same level at Borsa Istanbul. Although the trading volume of silver fell below 20 MT, there was a high trading volume of 14 MT at Borsa Istanbul.
