SILVER TRANSACTION VOLUME WAS 27,7 MT AT BORSA ISTANBUL

Precious metals had a week trying to rise. Tensions between Ukraine and Russia gave direction to gold and silver. Whether Russia will attack Ukraine or not has been watched carefully. As a result, interest in precious metals increased.

Gold became a precious metal that benefited from these developments. Gold reached its highest level at 1895 usd/oz level and completed the week at the same level at Borsa Istanbul.  This was the peak of the last 7 months. Compared to last week, yellow metal gained 3,46% value. Trading volume was also good as 4,4 MT at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, gold rose to the level of 1898 usd/oz due to the interest in at international markets.

Silver also had a profitable week. Silver recorded its highest level at 22,85 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. The closing was 23,80 usd/oz level. This means that silver gained 4,06% of its value. Totally 27,7 MT silver changed hands at Borsa Istanbul. This was a fairly high transaction volume.
