It's been a week that Bitcoin has surged and global vaccination has accelerated. These developments affected gold negatively. The trading volume of precious metals on the Borsa Istanbul was low.
At the beginning of the week, Us and Asian markets closed. Despite this, gold made a good start to the week, but couldn’t stay on that side and dropped in mid-week. Gold price was around 1790 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. Gold reached its highest price as 1828,95 usd/oz level. Yellow metal completed the week at 1774,20 usd/oz level. Compared the last week, gold lost 2,33% value. Gold transaction volume was quite low as 7 MT at Borsa Istanbul. At international markets, the closing was 1784,13 usd/oz level.
Unlike gold, silver’s action was pretty good last week. Silver reached to 27.80 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul and than saw some profit selling. White metal managed to stay over 27 usd/oz level at closing. Silver transaction volume was also low as almost 10 MT at Borsa.
