Last week, the new president of the USA Joe Biden has taken office. This development gave positivity to the markets. Borsa Istanbul was also affected by positivity.
Gold price rose until the middle of the week and reached its highest price at 1870 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. Yellow metal couldn’t hold on this level so closed the week with 1843,20 usd/oz. Compared the last week, gold gained %0,4 value. Gold investors were not willing to trade therefore gold transaction volume was quite low as 7 MT at Borsa. After Borsa session closed, gold rose a bit more and reached at 1855,86 usd/oz level at international markets.
Silver also recorded its highest level at 25.94 usd/oz level, affected by the positivity in the international markets. The closing was at 25,57 usd/oz level. That means white metal gained %0,3 value. Despite the gold trading volume, totally 12 MT silver changed hands at Borsa Istanbul.
