SILVER TRADING VOLUME WAS 20 MT AT BORSA ISTANBUL

Precious metals followed the Fed's rate hikes and the rise in US 10-year bonds. These developments gave direction to precious metals. Although we cannot say that this aspect is positive, transaction volumes were not low at Borsa Istanbul.

Gold had a week in decline. Gold recorded its highest level at 1994 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. However, yellow metal couldn’t hold on this level and completed the week with 1940,30 usd/oz level. This means that gold lost 1,65% of its value. Gold trading volume was 4,2 MT at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, gold caught the selling wave and fell to 1931,77 usd/oz level at international markets.

Silver had a week trying to hold at 25 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. Silver reached its highest level at 25,53 usd/oz level . The closing was 25 usd/oz level. Totally 20,2 MT silver changed hands at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, silver came to 24,16 usd/oz level at international markets.

Borsa Istanbul started its Monday morning session with certain premiums up to 10 usd/oz.  After 5 usd/oz premium transactions last week, there is an increase this week. Trading volume is low so far.
