HIGH PREMIUMS CONTINUED AT BORSA ISTANBUL

Precious metals had a volatile week due to Russia's attack on Ukraine. After Russia declared war on Ukraine, the steps taken by Western countries and the USA were followed carefully.

Investors began to look for a safe haven due to the war. As a result, gold exceeded 1900 usd/oz at Borsa Istanbul. Gold peaked at 1977 usd/oz and ended the week at 1905 usd/oz level. This means that gold gained 0,52% of its value. Transaction volume was also high as 8,3 MT at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, gold caught on the selling wave and fell to 1889 usd/oz level at international markets.

Silver became a popular metal as well. Silver recorded its highest level at 24,75 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. The closing was 24,50 usd/oz level. Compared to last week, white metal gained 2,9% value. Totally 5 MT silver changed hands at Borsa Istanbul.
