BORSA ISTANBUL - PRECIOUS METALS MARKET WEEKLY BULLETIN

Last week, while gold price is gaining ground at international markets, there was an active market at Gold Exchange also. Mostly buying transactions are realized. Totally 2468 KG gold was traded and especially on Thursday was the peak day with almost 600 KG gold trading. Investors and members also realized Silver transactions and 5924 KG silver was traded. Prices increased. Highest price of the week was 1240 usd/oz which is recorded on Friday and Silver saw 14.81 dolar/ons as the highest.

Regarding import figures, in September 7484 KG gold was imported but it is really low quantity according to January that was recorded 44210 KG gold import. But reverse import gold exports realized since there was discount in the market because of USD/TRY rate levels. Since the rate has regresed little bit, still it is too high with figures as around 5.50 level.
